Generator Module

The diesel-powered emergency power generator is part of the emergency power system. In combination with the UPS, this provides the power for your IT equipment in the event of a power outage.

If the electricity supply temporarily fails, the UPS seamlessly cuts in and takes over the supply of power. The generator meanwhile starts up and replaces the UPS in supplying power. The generator switches off automatically when mains power is restored.

The generator module is a generator set with an emergency power rating of 700 kVA/560 kW, and a rated power of 650 kVA / 520  kW at a voltage of 400 V, 50 HZ. The fuel tank holding 610 liters is mounted in a drip tray under the frame of the generator, with the tank being supplied full of fuel on initial delivery. Fuel consumption is 94.5 L/h at 75% load.

Together with the UPS and the Mainboard, the generator module comprises the powerhouse of your data center.

The Generator module is fitted with the following, among other things:

  • Electronic speed (rev) regulator
  • Carter drain pump
  • Battery isolator switch
  • Drip tray mounted underneath the generator
  • Open version equipped with a 29 dB exhaust damper
  • DataXenter control panel, made suitable for dead bar synchronizing operation
  • Lubricating oil pressure and cooling water motor
  • 3 potential-free contacts: generator on, general fault, low fuel level
  • Generator protection switch 4P ACB, motor driver
